ITS introduced an Electric Wheelbarrow in its June 2025 report on three palm-oil innovations. The device is intended to assist transport of harvested material. The report discusses development and commercialisation plans; a design image does not establish mass-order availability.

Transport can be evaluated separately from identifying ripe bunches and cutting them. That makes it possible to define a narrower trial with a worker remaining responsible for the harvesting process.

Choose one route and representative loads. Measure handling effort, completed trips, charging needs and performance on wet or uneven ground. Confirm the prototype’s current status and support arrangements with the developer before planning procurement.
