Beijing announced the opening of the first World Humanoid Robot Games for 14 August 2025. The 2026 event announcement records 26 events and 280 teams for that first edition. “Robot Olympics” is an informal description rather than the official event name.

A successful performance demonstrates a capability under particular conditions. It does not show all preparation time, downtime or operator intervention. Industrial buyers also need evidence of reliable handling, controlled stopping and repeatability around real equipment.
